Maintaining health for people of all ages, helping patients with liver & pancreas surgery
Asan Medical Centre is widely regarded as one of the best hospitals in the world, especially for liver and pancreas surgery. Dr Srinivasa recently spent a week at Asan as a visiting Professor to learn from and exchange ideas with prominent Korean Surgeons regarding minimally invasive (laparoscopic/ robotic) liver and pancreas surgery.
As Korean surgeons are regional and international leaders in this field and eastern and western liver and pancreas diseases are subtly different- Asian populations often have a higher incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), this was a very beneficial experience and a wonderful opportunity for future collaboration.
